To help all dancers look and feel their best in class, Riverwalk Dance Collective has a simple and clear dress code policy based on age, type of dance. Our dress code promotes focus, safety, and professionalism — and ensures your child is prepared to move confidently every time they step into the studio!
Whether your child is taking ballet, jazz, tap, acro, contemporary or hip hop, here’s everything you need to know about what to wear to class.
Any color leotard, pink or flesh colored ballet shoes. Black tap shoes for combo classes. Hair pulled back in bun or ponytail.
Black leotard, pink or flesh colored tights, pink or flesh colored split sole ballet shoes. Hair in a bun.
Black tights or athletic shorts, black ballet shoes, white shirt.
Inside sneakers and clothing allowing for free movement.
Leotards, or tight fitting clothing, hair secured out of face (preferably in a low bun, braid, or ponytail allowing for students to easily complete forward rolls).
Leotard preferred. Tight fitting pants, tights, or shorts. Hair in a bun or ponytail away from face.
Black tap shoes. Tight fitting clothing preferred.
